Frequently asked questions about the registration process
It is important to do your research before requesting a service. Find information about which services are relevant to your industry on the industry pages. Find information about which service you need for the new container release process on the Secure Chain page or view the full service overview.
If you still need help after doing your research, please contact sales via this form or send an email to service.request@portbase.com.
IAMconnected is the central login system of Portbase. This link will take you to the IAMconnected environment. Here you fill out your information and come up with an username.
Required details: First and last name, business email address, business phone number.
* You will need access to your business email when creating your account.
You will receive an activation email after creating your account. Next you set up a password and click on “confirm password”. You also select your preferred MFA method here. Additional information about MFA can be found here. Upon completion, you will automatically be logged in to your IAMconnected account.
Before you can request services or use your organisation’s existing services, you need to link your personal account to an organisation.
First of all, check whether your organisation already exists within IAMconnected by clicking on “Link to existing organisation”. Search for your organisation name here. Can you find your organisation? Select your role within the organisation and click on “Link me to this organisation”. The main administrator of your organisation will receive this request via email. After approval by the main administrator, you can use the services available to your organisation.
Can’t find your organisation within IAMconnected? Click on “Register new organisation”. Next, fill in all the organisation details.
Details required for registering a new organisation: Country of establishment, Local trade register (Chamber of Commerce number for Dutch organisations), information about the authorised representative (date of birth; email address; telephone number), organisation type
* Please note: when you create a new organisation, you automatically become the main administrator of the organisation.
The authorised representative must appear in your local business register. If your authorised representative does not appear in this, it is possible to give someone the power of attorney. Of course, this must be signed by someone who is listed in the local business register of your organisation.
In order to register a new organisation in IAMconnected, the identity of the authorised representative will have to be confirmed. Your authorised representative has received an e-mail with instructions on how to do so.
The identification process has three steps:
First of all, you download the CheckedID app from the app stores for Android or IOS. In the app, you need to validate your identity. You will need access to your camera for photos of your ID document and yourself. In addition, you will be asked to turn on the NFC function, so that the chip of your ID document can be scanned. If this is a functionality that your mobile phone or ID does not have, you will be given the option to skip the NFC verification after a few attempts.
Next, enter a code in the CheckedID app. You can find this code in the invitation email for the organisation registration process. This code is valid for 14 days. If the code has expired, the main administrator can send a new email to the authorised representative with a new code. Please complete this process within 30 days. Otherwise, the request will be automatically closed by Portbase.
After this, you need to complete the identification process in the CheckedID app.
Portbase receives a notification after the completion of the CheckedID identification process. We will review this request within 1 to 2 working days. If we have any questions, Portbase will contact you.
Required details and documents: Application CheckedID and proof of identity
*These steps require access to a mobile phone with a camera
After going through the identification process and positive assessment by Portbase, the authorised representative will receive an email to assess the organisation’s registration request and accept the terms and conditions. After approval, both the applicant and the authorised representative will receive a confirmation email.
*The requester is now the main administrator.
After creating a personal account and linking your account to an organisation, you can request a service.
Logged in to your IAMconnected account, navigate to the service page of the service(s) you want to request. The full service overview can be found here. On a service page, click on “request service”, then click on “log in” under “I already have an IAMconnected account”. From here you enter a secure environment where you can order services. Depending on the service you are going to order, you will have to fill in additional information.
Every request is reviewed by our sales department. If they have any questions about the application, they will contact you. After approval by sales, a contract will be sent to the authorised representative. After the authorised representative has signed this contract, Portbase will connect your service(s). The full processing time from request to the use of a service is 2 to 3 business days on average.
The organisation’s main administrator now has access to the service(s). The main administrator can also give others access to the service(s). If you would like more information about the content of a service, please visit our support website. Here you will find, among other things, quick start guides and instructional videos.
