Increasing trust

A secure digital environment is an essential condition to make proper use of Hinterland Container Notification (HCN). We want to prevent the misuse of data for, for example, unauthorised access to terminals, illegal removal of containers or the collection of drugs at all times.

Securely Sharing Data Together

Portbase has developed a separate, comprehensive program – Securely Sharing Data Together – to give even more substance to data security throughout the port. ‘Securely sharing data together’ comprises three spearheads:

Continued operations in the event of disruptions

At 99.95%, the PCS boasts a high availability. But transporters and terminals must also be able to continue operating on that rare occasion that the PCS is not available. Portbase has agreements in place with several terminals about back-up procedures. In the coming period, we aim to connect even more terminals to this. Thus, the delivery and collection of containers can always continue.

Transparency first

Everyone can read in the communication protocol how Portbase deals with disruptions to the PCS. The availability of HCN can easily be checked 24/7 via the Status Page of Portbase.
