Late in 2014, the new Rotterdam World Gateway (RWG) and APMT Maasvlakte ll (APMTMVll) container terminals on Maasvlakte 2 are opening. This marks the start of a whole new era of container transhipment. Via complete automation, both terminals promise new dimensions in speed, sustainability and safety. This also affects the information that accompanies the container. This information always precedes the containers at Maasvlakte 2. RWG and APMT Maasvlakte ll request carriers, forwarders and shippers to notify all information for a container electronically in advance. Portbase is the portal for this. Thereafter, the container can be delivered to or collected from one of the terminals. This means an improvement for each link.
Together with various trade associations, RWG, APMT MVII and Portbase organize information meetings in Germany and Switzerland on the changes within information exchange with the new terminals on Maasvlakte 2. These take place at:
- March 11 in cooperation with Landesverband Bayrischer Spediteure e.V., from 12:30 – 16:30 hours in München
