Smooth handling of inland port dues in Rotterdam
Every inland vessel using services and facilities in Rotterdam’s extensive inland port area must pay inland port dues. The port authority asked Portbase to develop and manage the service Inland Port Dues for this purpose.
Service description
With the service, barge operators (or their agents) can easily register their port call directly with the port authority. All that is required is to complete and send four pieces of information, with the help of a drop-down menu and a calendar. It is also possible to specify the desired method of payment: manual, one-off authorization or (with an annual subscription) direct debit.
The service also has a separate environment where patrol vessels from the Port of Rotterdam can record the barges identified in the port area.
Fixed and mobile internet
The service Inland Port Dues works with both fixed and mobile internet and comes in four languages: Dutch, English, German and French.
